So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.

Our celebrity obsessed culture may be a joke but breast cancer definitely isn’t - nearly 500,000 people die from it every year. Angelina Jolie’s doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of developing breast cancer and a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer because she carries the common gene mutation that causes both. Her mother died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer as well. My own mother had both breast and ovarian cancer within a couple short years and let me tell you, it’s about the least funny thing in the world to watch someone suffer from.

Valuing someone’s body parts you sexualized over their life and humanity goes beyond sexism, it’s sub-human.

I’ve had enough.

I have a friend named Kaitlan: she’s beautiful and kind and is a great cosplayer, and she’s been getting these slipped under her apartment door for months.

I asked her if I could make this post because I’ve been seeing this happening and I just want something to be done. Whether it’s people supporting her or someone telling her how to get this to stop. How to get these people to get the punishment they deserve.

She has literally done anything that she knows to do. She even went to the police:

They told her to come back if it got more serious. What does that even MEAN? Apparently, someone has to actually kill themselves for this to be serious to the police.

Apparently, this behavior is acceptable at Indiana University of PA. Apparently, this behavior is acceptable to the Indiana County Police. Apparently, bullying like this is completely acceptable until someone ends up dead.

I’m just absolutely infuriated right now. This should not go unpunished. Absolutely fucking not.

If anyone has any advice on how to help this person, please don’t hesitate to offer it. It seems that the police are not willing to intervene until someone is injured or deceased.

I emailed the OP but there are so many things that I need to know in order to help her. Hopefully they answer.

I’m going to go cry for a bit now. Fuck you world.

This is fucking disgusting. Is there a way we can contact the police in a way that doesn’t block other people who need to contact them? A public opinions email or anything? Also it may be helpful to contact the paper in the area (rant and raves etc.) about the issue. But only at Kaitlan’s behest, I would hate to put her in that situation if she doesn’t want it. She’s been through enough.
